We have known
Nicola Cumming for 10 years. During that time Nicola has been
responsible for masterminding a very successful kitchen
renovation in a 150 year-old house where her ideas made very
good use of the available space without compromising the
character of the house. Also a bathroom renovation in the same
house. Both of these made a vast improvement as far as useage
and storage were concerned. Following this, we had no hesitation
in recommending her to our daughter where once again she was
responsible for designing a very workable family kitchen on a
limited budget, which suited the house and was very smart.
A few years later
we were on the move again ---this time to a more modern home.
Unfortunately the kitchen was not entirely to our liking and,
after initially trying to decide how to renovate it , the
decision was made that it would be simpler and probably not too
much more costly to remove what was there and install a new
kitchen. Nicola designed this working with us to make sure that
our needs were met and that the kitchen was sympathetic with
it's surroundings in the living area of our home. Three years
later we are still very pleased with the results. Nicola helped
with purchase of new appliances by facilitating introductions to
suppliers where we were able to purchase at very competitive
prices. The standard of cabinetry throughout was excellent and
any small problems were promptly rectified. Also the
installation was on time and quickly and efficiently achieved.
Subsequently Nicola
has been responsible for the designing and installation of
understair cupboards creating storage for glassware, china and
various other items as well as storage for bottles of wine, in
drawers. A wonderful use of useless space., Also an
entertainment area with TV, Music and shelving for books and
ornaments, along with drawers to accommodate CDs, DVDs etc
More recently we
have enlisted Nicola's help to set up a home office which was
being purpose-built to house a business to be run from home. We
have to say that 18 months later this is working very
successfully.
Six months ago we
decided to build in a corner-seating unit with large storage
drawers underneath. Thanks to Nicola's design skills and team of
very competent cabinet-makers, this unit is now in place
providing very comfortable seating and lots more very valuable
storage.
We have no
hesitation in recommending this very clever lady's skills for
space you need designed. She is a pleasure to work with
listening closely to our brief and making well thought out,
sensible solutions to potential problems, working within a
budget and having a great team of professionals who she works
with.
Nicola is a true
professional ---reliable, honest and competent and we now
consider her to be one of our friends.
